One of Lori Larusso’s most recent bodies of work involves building paintings where the edge of the image defines the edge of the actual painting object. Using found and imagined imagery that hints at a stereotypical version of middle-America, these pieces question the complexity of individual situations. She has an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art’s graduate interdisciplinary program, the Mount Royal School of Art, and a BFA from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. Lori has gallery representation on the east and west coasts, as well as the midwest. She maintains a solid studio practice and continues to show her work in solo, invitational and juried group exhibits regionally, nationally, and internationally. *BC Artist–in–Residence, 2007
