The Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts is pleased to announce an innovative partnership with select alumni from our international artist-in-residence program. Our sales and consulting program draws from the Bemis Center's pool of former residents to place artwork in private, corporate and museum collections. The Bemis Center is committed to a sustainable, non-commercial sales program that upholds its mission to support exceptional talent. As participants in our artist-in-residence program, these artists were awarded three months of studio space, living accommodations and financial support, freeing them to pursue their work in a new environment, without constraints or expectation. Through it's sales and consulting program, the Bemis Center supports former residents' professional activity, while providing a means for these artists to contribute to the Bemis Center, thus benefiting future artists-in-residence. Each acquisition made through our art sales program directly funds these artists' work and the operating costs of the Bemis Center. We are grateful that these artists have chosen to participate in this cyclical program, through which artists support artists. The Bemis Center is particularly interested in working with curators, consultants, architects and designers to effectively place artwork in lasting collections. Artworks may be viewed online or by scheduling an appointment with a Bemis Center associate. The Bemis Center is located just south of the downtown Old Market at the corner of 12th St. and Leavenworth.
